“The Last Summer” is a photographic series exploring the intersection between happiness and memory. The project aims to understand how our memories influence our perception of happiness. We each have our images of what makes us happy. These images are personal, and infused with our memories and desires. Le dernier été attempts to capture these carefree, light-hearted images. Happiness as artistic inspiration is a possibility that is rarely mentioned, yet holds infinite creative potential. How does our memory alter the images of our happy moments? Through this visual exploration, the project seeks to reveal how memories of happiness are constructed, reshaped and sometimes embellished by time, and how these constructions influence our current well-being.
